ALAN FISHER is a Magician, Comedian, Master of Ceremonies, and above all an ENTERTAINER.
For almost 50 years Alan has been entertaining audiences across the country.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he became interested in magic at age 6 and gave his first professional performance when he was 9. He’s been on stage ever since.
He originated the character of Captain Idlewild for the Idlewild Park/StoryBook Forest amusement park complex in Ligonier, PA and toured the OH/WV/PA area performing “The Captain Idlewild StoryTime Magic Show” which he created and produced.
In 1982 he joined the national touring company of the off-Broadway smash hit comedy “Big Bad Burlesque”. For six years ALAN crisscrossed the country with the show working his way up through the ranks to the starring role of Top Banana.
He’s has performed at or hosted countless charity events for such organizations as The American Cancer Society

He has appeared several times on the celebrity phone panel of the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon for MDA.
ALAN worked the comedy club circuit full time for 8 years. He has headlined shows up and down the east coast and performed for countless industrials / trade shows with his unique brand of manic energy and off-the-wall observations.

Other credits include several appearances on The Nashville Network, in the made-for-cable movie “The Ten Million Dollar Getaway” and as Larry the Lobster in the feature film “Bob Roberts” directed by and starring Tim Robbins. He has also mastered a world of dialects and voices.
ALAN is a member of the Society of American Magician as well as the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He serves as Web Master Emeritus for IBM Ring 252 – The Middle Tennessee Magic Club. In addition, he is a Past multiple Officer of that Ring. Competitively ranked as one of the top 5 sleight-of-hand artists in North America and one of the top 10 parlour magicians in the world, in 2018 ALAN was honored with an invitation to compete at the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques (FISM) World Championship of Magic held in Busan, South Korea.
He and his wife, actress / singer / songwriter / model Margie Rose, moved to the middle Tennessee area in the early 90’s. They have one daughter, Claire, who occasionally appears with Alan in his stage shows.
